YOUNG PROFESSIONALS: FARMBREW LIVE PROJECT TOUR + 2 SILOS OKTOBERFEST WITH SMPS DC
Thursday, October 2, 2025 | 4:30PM – 7:30PM
Where Strategy Meets Structure: ABC Virginia and SMPS DC are teaming up for a special project tour at FarmBrew LIVE! Explore this fun project led by GC R.W. Murray Co. at the top entertainment venue in the Bristow/Manassas area followed by an Oktoberfest-themed networking mixer. Now’s your chance to share your construction knowledge with the marketers making magic behind the scenes!
Join us for a one-of-a-kind opportunity to tour the 30,000 SF expansion at FarmBrew LIVE, led by R.W. Murray Co. This highly anticipated project for Villagio Hospitality Group brings major additions to Northern Virginia’s first destination brewery campus, including:
• A new main building with a distillery, retail store, restaurant, and dual kitchens
• A stunning 46-foot curtain wall showcasing a 35-foot still
• An adjacent RickHouse for barrel aging
• Expanded entertainment spaces connecting the campus
The expansion will also welcome Murlarkey Distilled Spirits to its new home in Manassas – an achievement made possible through historic state and county grant support. After the tour, raise a glass at our Oktoberfest networking reception! Enjoy food, drinks, and conversation with fellow industry professionals while celebrating this exciting new chapter in the region’s hospitality and construction scene.
🍺 Maßkrugstemmen (Stein-Holding Contest) 🍺
Think you’ve got the strength and stamina to outlast the crowd? Join us for the traditional Bavarian challenge of holding a beer stein at arm’s length—no bending, no spilling, just pure grit! The last one standing earns bragging rights (and a little prize!). Pre-registration not required; sign-up on site!
The Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) is the only association dedicated to marketers and business developers in the architecture, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry. Meet members from the DC chapter, representing firms across the entire DMV region!

PREPARING FOR THE NEXT GENERATION WORKFORCE [PANEL & NETWORKING]
Thursday, August 14, 2025 | 4:30PM – 7:00PM
The construction industry will need to attract an estimated 439,000 net new workers in 2025 to meet anticipated demand for construction services, according to a proprietary model developed and released by Associated Builders and Contractors. In 2026, the industry will need to bring in 499,000 new workers as spending picks up in response to presumed lower interest rates. These problems of today will continue if we do not start to make an impact now.
Join us for a panel event full of information about what you can do now and how you can connect with students in middle and high school as they start to plan for their careers. Speakers will share success stories of Work-Based Learning Opportunities through the Department of Education, including Career Presentations, Youth Apprenticeship, Job Shadowing, and Internships.
Please note: ALL members are encouraged to attend this event.
After the panel, head over to Honor Brewing next door for fun networking over drinks and appetizers!
