ABC Virginia Announces Jared Sloane as Incoming President & CEO
Dulles, VA—Associated Builders and Contractors of Virginia (ABC-VA) and its Board of Directors are pleased to announce that Jared Sloane will join the association as President & CEO, effective October 19, 2026. Sloane will lead ABC-VA in its work representing Virginia’s merit shop construction industry and advancing the interests of its more than 650 contractor members across the Commonwealth.
Sloane brings more than 20 years of experience leading mission-driven organizations across the association, chamber and nonprofit sectors. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of Member Engagement at the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce, where his work included member engagement, advocacy and connecting business leaders across the region.
Sloane will succeed Patrick Dean, who is retiring after 34 years of service to ABC-VA. During his tenure, Dean shaped the association and its role in Virginia’s commercial construction industry, making his retirement a significant milestone for ABC-VA and its members.
As Sloane prepares to join ABC-VA, he is particularly focused on issues affecting Virginia’s construction workforce, including the state’s right-to-work framework and workforce development. “ABC-VA is excited to have Jared joining us. His strategic leadership and strong work ethic are exactly what we need in a leader to keep the great momentum we’ve built going. We’re looking forward to what’s ahead,” says 2026 ABC-VA Chairman, Brian Fish of Hensel Phelps.
With a focus on advocacy, member engagement and the continued development of Virginia’s construction workforce, Sloane will work with ABC-VA members, industry partners and stakeholders across the Commonwealth to build on the association’s work and advance its priorities.
