SUMMARY:CMMC Compliance for Builders & Contractors: What You Need to Know Before It Impacts Your Work 6/17 HR
DESCRIPTION:CMMC COMPLIANCE FOR BUILDERS & CONTRACTORS: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE IT IMPACTS YOUR WORK\nWednesday\, June 17\, 2026 |  11:30AM – 1:30PM\nCMMC isn’t coming\, it’s already here. And for many builders\, contractors\, and subcontractors\, it’s quickly becoming the difference between staying eligible for work and getting cut from the opportunity pipeline. \nJoin Charles IT’s Trevor Davis and Larry Robertson for an in-person session built specifically for ABC Virginia members. We’ll break down what CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) means for your business\, where most contractors are getting stuck\, and what it takes to move forward with confidence. \nThis isn’t just a requirement for prime contractors. CMMC applies across the entire defense supply chain. This means if you’re connected to a DoD project in any way\, there’s a high likelihood these requirements apply to you (or will\, come November). \nIn this session\, we’ll cover:\n• Who needs CMMC Level 2 and how to quickly determine where your business falls\n• The most common assumptions we’re hearing and why they’re putting contractors at risk\n• What it takes to become CMMC Level 2 compliant including timelines\, expectations\, and effort required\n• The biggest blockers organizations are running into right now as the November 10 deadline approaches \nWe’ll keep it practical—giving you a clear\, real-world look at how CMMC is showing up in contracts\, what assessors expect from you\, and how to avoid costly missteps. If you’re pursuing government work\, or supporting a contractor who is\, this session will help you understand where you stand today\, what’s ahead\, and what actions you should be taking now. \nBecause at this point\, CMMC isn’t a future initiative; it’s a business requirement \nSPEAKERS\nTrevor Davis\, Account Executive\, Charles IT\nLarry Robertson\, General Manager\, Charles IT\n \nLOCATION\nABC-VA Hampton Roads Training Facility\n530 Independence Parkway\, Suite 500\, Chesapeake\, VA 23320 \nCOST\nMembers — $37\nNon-members — $67\nLunch provided \nCANCELLATION POLICY\nPlease note that a reservation constitutes a financial commitment unless cancellations are made 48 hours in advance.
