YOUNG PROFESSIONALS: HOLIDAY BONE TREATS WITH FETCH A CURE

ABC-VA Young Professionals are invited to this fun volunteer activity of stuffing holiday treat bags for the dogs and puppies of FETCH a Cure. FETCH a Cure is a 501 ©(3) non-profit organization focused on improving the quality of life for pets diagnosed with cancer. Working with pet owners and the veterinary community, FETCH is furthering pet cancer awareness, education and treatment. Snacks and soft drinks will be provided.

Calling all cornhole players – show us your competitive side and compete against your fellow ABC-VA members! Join us for some friendly competition and a fun afternoon of networking all while giving back to our community. Please note: this event is hosted by the Young Professionals but open to ALL members!
Our annual cornhole tournament is moving indoors thanks to our generous host sponsor – N.E.S. Cornhole Lounge. Open to all members, this YP-sponsored event will benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention – VA Chapter. The chapter’s goal is to raise $10,000 for this worthy cause throughout 2024. We are so close! Will you help us pass the finish line?
Register early as we are limited to 16 teams (32 players), and we sold out last year! This is a double elimination tournament.
Don’t want to play in the tournament? You can still join us as a spectator. Cheer for your favorite team and enjoy an afternoon of networking while contributing to our cause.
Prizes awarded to the top two teams. Raffle tickets for additional prizes available for all to purchase at the event.

YOUNG PROFESSIONALS HARD HAT TOUR: VIRGINIA BEACH ATLANTIC SURF PARK
Tuesday, September 24, 2024 | 4:00PM – 6:00PM
ABC-VA Young Professionals: join us for an insider view of the brand new Atlantic Surf Park where we will learn about the PM perspective of this project followed by a tour of the jobsite guided and narrated by a superintendent. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early, so the tour can start promptly at 4:00PM. Special thanks to W.M. Jordan for hosting this event! This event is for Young Professionals 40 & under. Please join us after the tour for networking at Harvest, a short walk from the jobsite.
W. M. Jordan Company is the construction manager of the new Atlantic Park Mixed Use Development in Virginia Beach, featuring a 2-acre wave lagoon. The surf park will utilize an emerging wave technology, making this the East Coast’s most compelling outdoor adventure vacation destination.
The 10-acre multi-use development will include 120,000 square feet of diverse retail and a 70,400 square foot, 3-level live entertainment venue, promoting off-season tourism and local quality of life. In addition to entertainment aspects, the development will include 15,000 square feet of contemporary office space and 310,000 square feet of vibrant, resort style apartments.
**PPE is required for this tour: hard hat, safety vest, safety glasses and steel-toe work boots. Attendees must bring their own. You will not be permitted to join the tour without the mentioned PPE at minimum.**

The office compound is 367 18th Street Virginia Beach, VA. There will be no parking by the office compound. There is a free parking site at 18th & Birdneck – across 18th from McDonalds. This is about a mile from the site. There is also plenty of street parking and parking garages close by.
