Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplaces
BEST PRACTICES AND MODEL POLICIES
The journey to world-class safety on construction jobsites begins with the pledge to maintain a drug- and alcohol-free workplace.
The Construction Coalition for a Drug- and Alcohol-free Workplace (CCDAFW) is helping companies take that step by offering
best practices on substance abuse policies, testing procedures, disciplinary policies and various state/local laws relating to substance abuse testing requirements and regulations, in addition to
model policies, which are written to allow contractors the ability to edit each section to comply with state and local laws.
The CCDAFW is comprised of five of the nation’s largest construction trade associations: ABC, The Associated General Contractors of America, Construction Industry Round Table, Construction Users’ Roundtable and Women Construction Owners & Executives.
