Communications Committee

To serve as brand ambassadors in an effort to create an enduring imprint in the commercial construction market place as the trade association of choice.

General Contractors (GC) Council
To provide a forum for general contractors to identify key issues that concern the overall construction industry and to develop and implement strategies that will affect the issues in a positive way.


Golf Committee
To organize outstanding Spring and Fall Golf Classics every May and September.

To attract quality members, make those new members feel welcome, and retain existing members by encouraging involvement in ABC-VA functions.

To provide management, technical and leadership training that increases the body of knowledge for the construction industry.

To encourage the construction industry to make safety a priority. To develop quality training programs and improve the curriculum of existing programs so that they continue to address the needs of the industry.

Virginia Built Council
To encourage and recognize ABC-VA members who voluntarily implement highly effective safety and health management systems to benefit construction workers and reduce or eliminate injuries, illnesses and fatalities on construction sites in Virginia, and to increase participations in ABC’s STEP program.

Workforce Development Committee
To fill the workforce shortage by providing information and training resources to members and young professionals who are interested in careers in the construction industry.
