DESCRIPTION:ABOUT THIS COURSE\nBegins Tuesday\, May 26\, 2026\nAs of January 1\, 2023\, persons testing and repairing backflow prevention assemblies and backflow prevention devices shall be certified by a Commonwealth of Virginia tradesman certification program (identified by DPOR as backflow prevention device workers). \nThis 40-hour course is designed to help participants understand backflow and recognize cross-connections\, placing special emphasis on preparing individuals to test\, inspect\, and provide in-line maintenance of reduced pressure principle backflow prevention devices\, double check valve assemblies\, and pressure vacuum breakers. \n* This course has been approved by the Board for Contractors\, Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation in accordance with the provisions of 12 VAC5-590-630. \nSCHEDULE (4-day class)\nMay 26\, 2026 – May 29\, 2026\n8:00AM – 5:00PM\nOnline registration will close Friday\, May 22 at 1:00PM\nPlease note: lunch is NOT included. \nLOCATION\nABC-VA Central Virginia Training Facility\n1600 E Parham Road\, Richmond\, VA 23228 \nCOST\nMember – $995\nNon-Member – $995\n**Please note: cost includes instruction only.** \nCANCELLATION/SUBSTITUTION POLICY\nPlease note that a reservation constitutes a financial commitment unless cancellations are made within 48 hours of class start.
