The 2-session field leadership program will provide an in-depth review of key leadership characteristics required at a construction site. Construction site leadership requires many interpersonal and leadership skills related to cultivating an environment of safety, dealing with adverse situations, maintaining a clean and professional looking jobsite, establishing and building a relationship of trust with the client, getting multiple Subcontractors to collaborate and achieve a common goal, managing an increasingly diverse workforce, and more.
The construction site is changing through innovation, technology integration, more complex systems, increasing regulatory requirements, shorter construction durations, and the introduction of new workers into our industry. Our site professionals must continually advance, learn, and adapt to these changes, while also providing strong leadership. Field personnel must seek continuing education across all aspects of their duties and employers should want their employees to have the tools to do their job, including leadership.
